HALE electronic GmbH was founded in 1972 as a special workshop for vehicle devices and looks back on around 45 years of experience in developing and manufacturing electronic taximeters. In 1977 HALE developed its first taximeter and soon achieved a market share of 80% in Austria.
In 1999 a worldwide innovation was developed together with Mercedes-Benz: the mirror taximeter (SPT-01). The taximeter electronic assembly is completely integrated into the vehicle’s original rear view mirror and is available ex works. As well the Cey System for data transfer and driver control originates from the Salzburg developers. Since then the family-owned company is considered an innovator of industry.
By now, HALE offers the complete product range for the taxi business from taximeters and accessories to software solutions.
