HALE Cab Tracking is a comprehensive and user-friendly software package specifically designed to fit the needs and requirements of small and medium taxi enterprises. Cab Tracking is a cost-efficient way of improving control and optimising dispatching and gives a clear overview of the entire taxi fleet.

The system works based on the small HALE Cab Tracking box with integrated GPRS modem and a  GPS-receiver, which continuously conveys the location coordinates of each taxi via GPRS to the dispatching office. The frequency of data transmission can be programmed individually for every single taxi by setting time or distance intervals (e.g. 100 meters).

On a PC screen all taxis are indicated on a virtual map together with detailed information about their present position, the direction the taxis are heading to and their occupation status (For Hire/Hired). Once the pick-up address of a client is entered, the Cab Tracking system indicates vacant taxis in the area and calculates the time of arrival.

In comparison to other similar systems, HALE Cab Tracking indicates the client's address on a map and lists all vacant taxis in the area according to distance and travel time to the respective address. On basis of this information, the dispatcher can allocate the ride optimally to the most appropriate taxi in the area.

HALE Cab Tracking Client software disposes of integrated TeleAtlas® navigation maps, which – compared to other internet-based solutions – permit a faster screen layout and reduce data transfer via internet. Apart from that, this solution allows stepless zooming and permits displaying several different maps on one or more screens. Size and resolution of these additional maps can be defined by the user.
